An original antique late Georgian, early Victorian brooch crafted from solid sterling silver and old diamond paste gemstones. The setting is beautifully intricate, with lattice collets and studs, enclosing 4 large round diamond paste gems and 3 large teardrop / pear cut diamond paste gems. All the paste gems are deep cushioned, and foil backed, giving the most dazzling sparkle! fastens with a C type clasp and pin. There is a worn silver mark on the back. I am unsure what this originally showed but the silver has been tested for sterling.
Measures approx. 3cm X 3cm and weighs a good 7.4 grams.
A fine original antique brooch, set in solid silver with very desirable old paste gems, offered in excellent condition. May show minor wear consistent with age/ use.
