Regency brooch/pendant, 15 carat Gold & Pearl circa 1820 Green Stone

This is an exquisite piece of jewelry dating to the early 19th century. It is made from 15 carat Rose Gold and is quatrefoil shape with a central rectangular cut stone surrounded with leaf designs that are set with natural seed pearls. The original fittings are on the reverse, there is a gold pin that fastens in a "C" clasp and also a long loop that can be used to suspend the piece from a chain as a pendant - the loop presses in, behind the pin, so the chain would be secure also.

I am not certain what the green stone is, it may be a Peridot, or a green Beryl; it is very pretty and is set with an open back, so it catches the light really effectively. this is beautiful antique piece and is a versatile piece of jewelry - it will be a great find for the right person.

Condition: Good condition. There is one tiny seed pearl missing. This is difficult to spot and can be replaced if the buyer thins it is necessary.

Measurements: 3cm by 3cm and 0.9 cm in depth (including the depth of the pin). It weighs 3.9g.
